Frequently asked questions

1. Who is this dating website designed for?

We’re aiming at people with a serious interest in meeting someone and having a long-term relationship. Our dating site has achieved great results, and matched loads of happy new couples. If you seriously wish to meet someone, we’ll do our best to offer you a sufficient number of relevant counterparts from your city or surroundings who want to meet someone as well.

2. Is this a free dating website?

Yes, women get a year-long  Basic membership for free. Within this, they can use all the basic functions of the website, like the search, contacting men, writing messages etc. This way, we increase the overall number of women on the website as they tend to stay longer and use it more frequently. And it obviously works!

Men get free Basic membership for the first period after the signup. After that, a payment for further membership is required. The purpose is to let every man try and see – for free – what the website looks like and how it works. The user can check out the service’s basic features and learn how it works. Then you can simply decide whether our dating website is worth the fee. Plus, this small fee effectively filters unwanted voyeurs. Only serious daters remain. This improves users' chances of getting a date a lot.

3. What's different about this particular dating service?

We know that one can hardly find love at first sight while sitting at a computer. The process of dating via a web page like ours takes a bit longer, and therefore our membership is long-term. Instead of the usual – a high fee for a short period (e.g. £40 for 7 days), typical at other dating sites – we took the opposite approach. You get a longer period at a low price. However, it also requires users with a certain attitude. Success in this type of dating arises from regular visits to the website in order to see what – and who – is new. This is the only way to contact your potential partner before they engage in a conversation with someone else. Most of us don’t look like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie, so the process requires patience. Don't give up if you failed to find true love the first time you searched or contacted someone. With your long-term membership, a large number of potential counterparts from your target group are guaranteed to sign up.

4. How do I meet someone new?

If you have successfully registered and completed your profile carefully, look around. You can rate profiles, photos, descriptions of other members and look for potential counterparts. And, of course, you can (and should) contact other users via messages. Be proactive, and don’t wait for others to contact you! New members are pouring in constantly. Therefore, it’s very important to check the dating site regularly to see who has registered while you were away. It will significantly increase your chances!

5. How do I change my profile photo?

Move to the My Profile section and under your profile image, click Upload profile photo and Save. Please note that the photo must be smaller than 4 megabytes. Now others can see your awesome profile image, and you can view the photos and profiles of your potential counterparts as well! So make sure that you upload at least one photo. Also, be very careful to choose the right picture – one that presents the real you!

6. How do I edit the profile?

Is there anything in your profile you’d like to edit? A typo? You can revise your profile at any time by clicking My profile at the top. In the upper left corner, click Edit profile, then enter the details you want to share with others.

Remember that an interesting profile full of meaningful information about you sparks other people’s interest. Maybe someone will favour the same dish or has a similar pet! On the other hand, carefully consider where the boundary of confidential content lies. Your address, phone number or even email should not appear in your profile. Reserve this information for the right person only!

7. How do I read messages from other users?

To read messages from other users, click Messages in the taskbar (at top right). Information about your incoming messages will appear. These are arranged chronologically, starting with the most recent ones. Now you can be sure that no messages will ever escape your attention!

8. When can I read a message from someone else?

A message from another user can be accessed during the Basic (=free) membership period. After this period expires, you can only get into the message section after you have upgraded your membership. But don’t worry, your messages will remain saved there. You can pay for the membership at any time, even after the Basic membership period has expired. So whenever you become a member, you’ll be able to read the messages from your potential dates.

9. How do I find Settings and how do I log out of my account?

For Settings and to simply Log out from your account, click your nickname in the upper right corner which gives you Settings and Log out options. The Settings section enables you to adjust your account and profile.

If you have paid for your membership any other way than by card, you have to log out first and then log in the next day again. This procedure is important for your computer to notice that you've become a paid member. Otherwise the machine is unwittingly wasting your precious time!

Here's how to log out of your account.

10. Is the Upgraded membership extended and paid automatically?

To answer this question, go to your Settings section and click the List of payments. Can you see the “Cancel recurring payment” item under the list? By clicking this, you cancel automatic payments. If you cannot find this item in the list, automatic payments are not active. You’ll have to pay each time you want to extend your membership.

11. How do I log out of my account on my mobile phone?

Browsing some websites on the phone is a pain. No matter how large your phone’s display or how delicate your fingers, the tiny thing just won’t listen! The procedure of logging out of our website on a mobile itself is not complicated, though. Try it yourself: in the upper right corner, you’ll find an icon with three lines. Click it. You’ll then see a menu with several options. Click your nickname and select the Log out option. And that’s it!

12. Is it possible to pay with a foreign credit card and can I do so from abroad?

Yes! We accept popular credit cards such as Visa or MasterCard, no matter which bank issued it or which country it was issued in. Thank you, globalization!

Here's how to pay:

13. What if I forget my password?

All those passwords, PINs and numbers you have to remember! Who doesn't forget them from time to time?

Fortunately, this problem has an easy solution on our website. Here's how to resolve it: go to the Login/Sign-up page and click “Forgot your password?” An Email box requesting your email address will appear. Enter the email you signed up with – the one where you receive messages from us – and click Continue. Soon, you’ll receive a message to the same email address with a link to renew your password.

14. How do I change the frequency or the content of the emailing?

If you wish to change anything about our emails, go to the Settings section. Don't know where to find it? Click your nickname (top right) and then Settings. In the top part, within the General section, the Emailing option gives you an opportunity to switch our messages off. Tick means emails, empty box means no emails. Intuitive, right? :)

The following GIF shows you how to get to Settings and where to change your emailing options.

15. How do I delete my profile on the dating website?

So you’ve finally found your significant other and you're leaving for your honeymoon? Awesome! Go ahead and delete your profile by clicking your nickname and Settings after that. Scroll to the bottom of the page, all the way to the Account Status section, and select “Permanently delete my account”. Then you can enjoy the honeymoon, no matter whether you're heading to Mount Rushmore or the Seychelles!

“Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: they’re trying to find someone who’s going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take.” — Anthony Robbins
